Registration for the 2017 Developmental Affective Neuroscience Symposium (DANS) is now open.


This year’s theme is Development of the Emotional Brain in Social Context: Implications for Affective Psychopathology. This meeting provides a collaborative forum for researchers conducting clinically relevant research from a developmental affective neuroscience framework and will be held at the University Club in Pittsburgh, PA on October 12-13, 2017. There will be a welcome reception the evening of October 11, 2017.

Congratulations to Alysse and Salena for their Admittance to grad school!


Please join us in congratulating our two RA’s for the Puberty, Emotion, and Brain Study on their Admittance to grad school. Starting in the Fall of 2017, Salena will be starting the Masters in Social Work Program at the University of Pittsburgh and Alysse will be starting the Masters in Social Work and Masters in Public Health Programs at the University of Pittsburgh. Salena hopes to work with children and adolescents with mental health conditions. Alysse hope to work to improve the mental health care system through social work and public health. Congratulations Alysse and Salena!
